INNOVATIVE IMAGING OF EYE DISEASE
e-meeting i2Eye 2020 - October 12-14, 2020
High resolution imaging technologies, exemplified by adaptive optics ophthalmoscopy (AOO) and optical coherence tomography (OCT) are progressively transferring from the lab to the clinic. This is an opportunity to better understand retinal diseases, to optimise their management but also to provide novel biomarkers for other medical specialities. However, there is still an unmet need in the field of clinical interpretation of AOO images, and more importantly in the integration of AOO into clinical practice.
In this context, the FRCRnet network is organising its third Autumn course on Innovative Imaging in Eye Disease. The conference will be held online, on October 12th to 14th, 2020. This year, ophthalmologists, physicists and biologists will address the latest advances on ocular imaging, how they help understand diseases and improve clinical care. The congress will be devided in sessions on RPE, photoreceptors, vessels and optic nerve layer. This is a unique opportunity to combine fields of knowledge for a better understanding of diseases and ultimately for better clinical care.
DAY 1 - Monday October 12: Transdisciplinary course on biological, physical and medical aspects of retinal imaging
This course will resume the basics on high-resolution retinal imaging. It will mainly be addressed to students, post-docs, physicists and ophthalmologists wishing to have an overview of retinal imaging techniques.
DAY 2 - Tuesday, October 13: Congress
The second day of the e-meeting will be divided in two sessions: (i) retinal and choroidal vessels, (ii) optic nerve/ciliary processes. Speakers from complementary fields of expertise (ophthalmology, physics, biology) will address each topic.
DAY 3 - Wednesday October 14: Congress
This third day of online conference will be divided in two sessions: (i) RPE/AMD, (ii) photoreceptors. Speakers from complementary fields of expertise will address each topic.
