F-CRIN is based on a federative model that is unique in Europe, which currently brings together 29 complementary components dedicated to clinical research in France: 27 clinical research networks and platforms accredited by F-CRIN, 1 nationally coordination unit, and 1 platform providing support for the design and conduct of clinical trials.

National Coordination Supporting the Infrastructure
F-CRIN Coordination, based in Toulouse, coordinates the Infrastructure and supports all of its networks and platforms in their missions, projects, and development. A joint service unit (UMS 015) bringing together Inserm, the Toulouse University Hospital, and the University of Toulouse—ISO 9001 certified since 2017—it fulfills a threefold role: representing the F-CRIN Infrastructure, providing shared support services to its networks and platforms, and fostering collective initiatives to advance the development of French clinical research.
A platform to support the setup of clinical trials
Finally, F-CRIN relies on ForceXpert, a platform that supports the design and conduct of clinical trials, integrated into the Infrastructure.
